National Suicide Prevention Hotline: 1-800-273-8255 Teen suicides increased 29 percent just one month after the premiere of a Netflix Series dramatizing the issue. That seemed to support criticism by psychiatrists, who asserted program romanticized suicide and could lead to copycat behavior. The study published in the Journal of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry cited no evidence of direct causation. But it clearly illustrates this tragic issue has become all too real for all too many communities and families. That is the subject of this edition of Challenge 2.0: Lost Treasures-Confronting Youth Suicide and Stress
