Wisdom from Our Neighborhood: Lessons from the Road is an ongoing conversation from people on the front-lines of countering Islamophobia, Anti-Semitism and all forms of Hate.
Hamza Khan is the founder of The Pluralism Project, an organization working to empower everyday Americans hailing from diverse narratives in our political process. He has worked as a campaign manager and communications consultant in local and national campaigns and was presented with a Rising Star Award by POLITICO magazine.
Rabbi Alana Suskin is an educator, activist and writer. She is the editor of the progressive blog, Jewschool.com. She served as assistant Rabbi at Adas Israel in Washington, DC. She reaches across faith traditions to fight Islamophobia and anti-Semitism.
Together, Alana and Hazma have started the Pomegranate Initiative in which teams of Jewish and Muslim faith leaders to increase understanding and friendship in the USA.
Aneelah Afzali is the founder of MAPS AMEN, the American Muslim Empowerment Network, activist, public leader and member of the board of the Faith Action Network. www.mapsredmond.org/amen/
Terry Kyllo is the Executive Director of Paths to Understanding, formerly the Treacy Levine Center and Neighbors in Faith. Terry is an ordained Lutheran Pastor who works to bridge bias and build unity through multi-faith peacemaking. www.pathstounderstanding.org
Together, Aneelah and Terry have engaged in the Faith Over Fear Roadshow and the Facts Over Fear social media campaign.
